PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such as the deterioration of the performance of an electric blower caused by turbulence at a step since a conventional electric blower has a large difference in an inner diameter between the inner periphery side of a fan casing and the inner periphery side of a front plate of a centrifugal fan, thereby resulting in formation of the step in this part. SOLUTION: The centrifugal fan comprises the front plate with a suction port, a rear plate with a hole into which a rotary shaft is inserted, and blades disposed between the front plate and the rear plate, wherein a seal member is disposed at the outer periphery of the suction port at the back face of the fan casing, a step is formed on the front plate of the centrifugal fan from the inner periphery toward the outer periphery, and the tip of the front plate extending from the step is slidably brought into contact with the seal member.
