Disclosed is an isolated nucleic acid molecule having the sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 11 and a compliment thereof, or a nucleic acid fragment consisting of at least 17 base pairs corresponding to the coding region of the nucleic acid molecule, for the use in therapy. Also disclosed are proteins coded by this nucleic acid. In particular these compounds are to be used in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of obesity and/or diabetes.
