PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving method which enables a user to view a program content reserved for viewing with high convenience, a broadcast receiving system, a personal computer, and a broadcast receiver. SOLUTION: In the broadcast receiving method, a tuner module for receiving digital broadcasting is externally added to an image display device, and the coming of a start time of a program content preliminarily reserved for viewing or a preliminarily designated viewing start time is detected during reception of digital broadcasting by one-segment broadcasting to switch to reception of multi-segment broadcasting.
