The hardtop folding roof (10) has a roof segment with a face plate and frame element (16) that is coupled with an edge section of the face plate. The frame element is integrally formed and sectionally fixes a form of an interior panel of the roof segment. The frame element is formed from aluminum or magnesium and is manufactured with a die-casting method.
