摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving luminance as a backlight of a liquid crystal display panel by increasing the luminous flux of a cold cathode fluorescent tube and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The cold cathode fluorescent tube CCFL applied on a backlight installed at the rear face of a liquid crystal display panel of a liquid crystal display device is provided with a translucent glass tube VAL in which rare gas and mercury are sealed, a pair of cold cathodes ELE which are sealed and arranged oppositely at both ends of this glass tube VAL, a power lead-in wire LE of which one end is connected to the cold cathode ELE and the other end is lead out to the outside of the glass tube VAL by being airtightly sealed, a phosphor film FLU which is formed on the inner periphery face of the glass tube VAL. The phosphor film FLU is formed by sucking and applying a phosphor suspension which is prepared by mixing and re-agitating the phosphor to a suspension in which a mixed solvent of a butyl acetate and nitro-cellose is strongly agitated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
