PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chat function capable of reducing the burden on a user when selecting an opposite party in chat, in a cellphone having an electronic mail function including the chat function. SOLUTION: The cellphone 60 includes: a wireless device 70 performing transmission/reception of a mail with another communication terminal; a data storage part 78 storing information of a designated communication terminal; a display part 80; and a control part 76 creating a screen for performing a chat, and controlling the wireless device 70, the data storage part 78, and the display part 80 so as to perform the chat. The control part 76 refers to the information inside the data storage part 78 in response to that the wireless device 70 has received the electronic mail requesting the chat, decides whether the chat is permitted to a transmitter of the electronic mail or not, and displays a display screen for making the user select whether to perform the chat with the transmitter of the electronic mail or not on the display part 80 when not permitted.
