PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera for automatically setting the face of a person who is to be the object of focusing, when there are faces of two or more persons in the object. SOLUTION: The digital camera comprises an imaging means for outputting image information indicating the object; a deriving means for deriving feature information indicating the feature of the face of a person, included in the object indicated by the image information, on the basis of image information obtained by the imaging means; a storage means for storing, in advance, the specified feature information which is the feature information derived from the face of the person specified, beforehand, by the deriving means; a detection means for detecting the face of the person included in the object from the image information, outputted from the imaging means; a preparation means for preparing the corresponding information, wherein the detected feature information, i.e., the feature information derived by the deriving means for each of the faces of all the persons detected by the detection means is associated with the positions in the object of the faces of the persons for which the detected feature information is derived; and an execution means for executing focusing processing by the imaging means, on the basis of the detected feature information, specified feature information and corresponding information.
