PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a rack transferred without splashing solution in a vessel mounted on the rack. SOLUTION: This impact absorbing unit 20a for receiving a specimen rack 19 mounted with a specimen vessel 191 containing a specimen transferred on a conveyance lane 11a while absorbing impact is disposed at the terminal end of the conveyance lane 11a in an automatic analysis apparatus. The impact absorbing unit 20a has a cushion 21 made of an impact absorbing material. The cushion 21 has a columnar member 211 with one end side fixed. On the other end of the columnar member 211, a receiving section 215 abutting on the specimen rack 19 is formed integrally with the columnar member 211. When the specimen rack 19 collides with the receiving section 215, the cushion 21 elastically deforms using, as a fulcrum, the fixed one end of the columnar member 211, and absorbs the impact force in the collision to stop the specimen rack 19.
