PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kitchen knife installing type sharpener with a roller, freely movable while keeping an inclination of a kitchen knife constant, in a kitchen knife sharpener. SOLUTION: The kitchen knife is inserted into a kitchen knife installing part of a sharpener body, and a kitchen knife edge is projected from the sharpener body so as to become a predetermined kitchen knife inclination, and then, is pressed down by a thumbscrew 3. The roller 2 is arranged in a lower part of the sharpener body. Anybody can easily sharpen the kitchen knife by longitudinally moving on a grinding stone by fixing the inclination of the kitchen knife. Though there are also various shapes in a domestic kitchen knife, this kitchen knife sharpener can cope with all the kitchen knife shapes by adjusting an edge position of the kitchen knife to an edge mark 4.
