A TV recording system and a method for operating the same are provided to enable a home TV to record corresponding DMB broadcasting under control of a home network system when a DMB terminal receives a DMB signal and transmits broadcasting information automatically to the home network system, thereby watching recorded broadcasting later even though a user can not watch DMB through the DMB terminal. A home network system(20) receives broadcasting information of DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) and controls a home TV(30) according to the broadcasting information. A DMB terminal(10) receives a DMB signal, reproduce a DMB signal and transmits the DMB signal to a home network system. A home TV receives broadcasting information from the home network system and records corresponding broadcasting.
