PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress accumulation of a developer in a periphery between a developing roller and a magnetic roller. SOLUTION: A developing device uses a two-component developer including at least carrier and toner, in which the toner is supplied to an image carrier carrying an electrostatic latent image so that a toner image is developed from the electrostatic latent image. The developing device includes: a developing roller 42 arranged to oppose the image carrier; and a magnetic roller 41 arranged to oppose the developing roller 42 and retaining the two-component developer to supply the toner to the developing roller 42. The developing roller 42 and the magnetic roller 41 are rotationally driven in directions to be opposite to from one another at an opposed position, and a magnetic pole N1 of the magnetic roller 41 and a magnetic pole S of the developing roller 42 have magnetic polarities different from one another at the opposed position.
