<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding portable telephone apparatus which has operability equal to a portable game machine dedicated to games and a compact shape (form) and comprises a standard function also as a portable telephone apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A first display means 4 constituted of a liquid crystal display device or the like is provided on an outer surface of a first main body case 1; and a speech start button 5a, a speech end button 5b, a clear button 6 and a so-called navigation key 7 for scrolling in four directions of up, down, right and left and to be pressed in the center for selection and determination are provided near the first display means 4. Furthermore, when using the apparatus as a portable game machine, the speech start button 5a is used as a so-called B button of a portable game, the speech end button 5b is used as a so-called start (S) button, and the clear button 6 is used as a so-called A button.
