<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of effectively preventing the image flow due to adhesion of moisture without using a heating means, such as a heater in an image forming system by an electrophotographic method using an amorphous silicon photoreceptor and an intermediate transfer member. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system of performing image formation by executing an image forming cycle of developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the amorphous silicon photoreceptor by means of a polishing agent-containing toner and temporarily transferring the toner image formed on the photoreceptor onto the intermediate transfer member and secondarily transferring the transferred toner image transferred onto the intermediate transfer member to prescribed paper is characterized by that the refresh mode of sticking the polishing agent-containing toner onto the photoreceptor while the image forming cycle is not executed, once transferring the toner sticking to the photoreceptor surface onto the intermediate transfer member, then reverse transferring the toner from the surface of the intermediate transfer member onto the photoreceptor and performing the surface polishing of the photoreceptor by the reverse transferred toner for surface polishing is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
