An anti-obesity pharmaceutical composition, and the anti-obesity food are provided to inhibit the differentiation of preadipocyte into adipocyte and to suppress the synthesis of cholesterol. An anti-obesity pharmaceutical composition comprises the extract of grape tree bark, or at least one component selected from the vitisin A represented by the formula 1, the vitisin B represented by the formula 2, the epsilon-viniferin represented by the formula 3 and the ampelopsin represented by the formula 4 which are separated from the extract of grape tree bark.
