The assembly has communicating units e.g. cards (6), each having a radiofrequency identification tag. A game board (1) has detection units to detect the presence, nature and position of the communicating units on the board. Each detection unit has an individual microcontroller connected to a corresponding antenna coil. The set of microcontrollers is connected to a centralized processing electronic circuit.
