The assembly has a humeral implant comprising a rod (1) engaged in a medullary cavity of humerus, and a glenoidal implant comprising a support base (4) fixed at a level of scapula. The rod and the support base have respective hemispherical cup or inserts (3, 5) forming concave sliding and support surfaces (3a, 5a) of same concavity for receiving a connected hinge element (6) i.e. sphere, in tension, in a congruent manner. The sphere is made of steel or ceramic, and the cup or inserts are made of polyethylene.
