MULTI-FUNCTIONAL FILTER

A multi-functional filter has an upper section (2) that is separated from a lower section (3) by a twist-flange (4) with two kidney-shaped apertures separated by a cross-piece (20). The direction of gas flow through the filter is reversed by twisting the flange. The flange is clamped between the housing upper section and a secondary ring (8) with an O-ring seal. The flange can rotate with respect to the housing upper section, and is fixed to the filter insert (14).
