FIELD: physics; communications. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to the systems theory. The result is achieved by determining combinatorial relationship between the number of objects from a system of n>2 objects, denoted by positive integers, from which k<= n-2 objects are shutdown as faulty and/or inactivated. For this purpose, in the method, containing n>2 objects, denoted by positive integers which are components of a set N, and n signals for shutting down objects, there is introduction of more signals for comparing object signals on "each with each" principle. The number of m-objects is determined, the signals of which coincide with accuracy of small values of epsilon and components of subset M of set N. Each of the comparison signals is assigned a two-element subset Pv, consisting of numbers of objects of subset M, the output signals of which are compared, where subset of each combination k<=n-2 of numbers of shutdown objects in set N, signals for each of which differ from the rest of set N signals. To realise the method, a substitution redundant system is proposed, which consists of four objects. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of the system, consisting of several objects, through provision for shutdown of the maximum number of faulty objects to a situation, when two faulty objects remain in the system. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg |
