<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet which can suppress falling of contrast of a display screen regardless of brightness of installation surroundings. <P>SOLUTION: The optical sheet 1, which is equipped with a film-shaped transparent substrate 2 and a pattern member provided at one main surface side of the transparent substrate 2, is used. The pattern member has a plurality of stripe members 5 which are arranged in parallel with each other in a surface direction of a main surface. Each of stripe members 5 is formed of a photochromic material in which transmittance of visible light falls when light incident from surroundings becomes brighter (for example, in a state where direct sun light enters). In the optical sheet 1, preferably a transparent electroconductive film 3 formed of a metal oxide is provided on one main surface of the transparent substrate 2.
