PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a high performance stator of a rotary electric machine by employing an outer winding system of high productivity and a high performance open teeth structure for enhancing the output characteristics of a rotary electric machine. SOLUTION: In the stator 1 of a rotary electric machine, each of the teeth 12a is divided by loading a force radially outward of the central side of annular teeth 11. Since a force is loaded radially outward of the central side of annular teeth 11, a cut line 16 on the yoke side of the teeth 12a is extended in the circumferential direction by the recess 24 of the yoke and the teeth 12a is thus fitted in the yoke 21.
