<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a display video image from being distorted, by taking measures for preventing the video image from being momentarily muted, without expanding circuit scale, even in the case where a resolution format or an encoding scheme of a compressed video signal is switched in accordance with a receiving state in a video signal processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: While one of multiplexed bit streams resulting from multiplexing a plurality of video bit streams of different video resolution formats is decoded by a video decoding section 110, when a decoding target is switched to another video stream in accordance with a receiving state and the video resolution format is switched, from a time point at which the video stream after is completely decoded the switching to a time point at which decoded video data after switching can be outputted from a video buffer 111, under control of a resolution switching control section 116, decoded video data before switching are processed by an enlargement/reduction processing section 112. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
