<p>The direct connector is used for heavy railway vehicles which carry extremely heavy components such as large transformers, where the articulated bogies support the weight. At other times these articulated bogies are coupled directly to each other. The load carrying, overhanging pivoted arms of these articulated bogies are positioned on the articulated bogies so that they can be adjusted laterally and vertically. The overhanging arms are arranged in pairs on an articulated bogie and each arm has a pair of guiding members so that the inwards facing ends of the overhanging arms of two bogies are connected directly so that they can carry out any adjusting movements only together in the vertical direction.</p> |
