<p>The shearer loader has a driving gear which is engaged in a tooth rack positioned along the cutting track of the machine and attached to the side of a face conveyor. The shearer loader is supported by a freely rotating roller (3) mounted on axis (9) of the driving gear (7) and rolling on the machine track (5). The roller (3) is so dimensioned that the pitch circle diameter (13) of the driving gear (7) forms a tangent with the profile reference line (14) of the rack (5). The driving engagements between the driving gear (7) and the rack (5) is ensured by a device (11) which embraces the bottom part of the machine track (5).</p>
