<p>Cavitation free pressure limiting device made up of several series connected pressure valves, especially when water is used as the working fluid. When the springs which hold the valve bodies can be adjusted by pistons acted upon by a central pressure. The pistons are commonly acted upon by a unit control fluid pressure fixed by a pressure valve (V8). This pressure valve (V8) is the last of the series connected pressure valves (V1---V8) and the control fluid to adjust the pressure valves is part of the working fluid. The effective cross sectional face (11a) of the adjusting pistons has such a size that the valve stems are passed on the valve seat with the same pressure as the stem of the last valve is pressed on its seat, because of the mechanical spring adjustment.</p> |
