The universal hub is for engine-driven garden cultivators, having an internal member sliding in an external member. A flat (16) is formed on the internal member (4) aton e side. The flat allows the passage of a pin (13) inserted in the hole (12a) in the outer member (5), so as to lock the two members together when the flat is slid into line with the hole. The pin can have a flat face bearing against the flat of the inner member.
