<p>PURPOSE:To plastically deform the connecting part of the pipe joint, and to connect the pipes at good performance with a small tool, by connecting the clamping plate, the backing plate, the push plate, and the intermediate plate, with the positioning device, and by mutually approaching two clamping plates. CONSTITUTION:After assembling the pipe joints and the pipes, the tool 50 is attached. The working pressure is impressed on the piston cylinder 31 to drive the piston rod 33 for mutually approaching the pipe joint clamping plate 1 and the pipe clamping plate 3. Hereby, the force in axial direction is transmitted to the pressure rings 18, 19, through the intermediate plates 14, 15, and the spring 25; then, the tip 21 of the cylindrical part 20 presses the tail end (j) of the sleeve (g), and the sleeve's tip (h) is fitted to the inner surface of the shoulder part (e) of the pipe joint (b) so as to be pressed to cause the deformation and to penetrate into the outer surface of the pipe (a). Further, the pipe clamping plate 3, the intermediate plates 14, 15, and the push plates 9, 10, make a tight contact, and the opening 11 of the push plate presses the end (f) of the pipe joint (b) to contact with the tail end (j) of the sleeve (g); hereby, the connecting work is completed.</p> |
