[Also in Division G3] The pressure in a decompression chamber is progressively reduced at a desired rate between steps of a decompression programme, set up by a programming device on a diode matrix, by counting down a digital counter by the output pulses of a multivibrator having a time constant determined by an R.C. circuit with switchable resistors. The count in the digital counter, through a digital to analogue converter is compared with the actual pressure in the chamber, determined by a potentiometric device, in a comparator an output of which controls a valve. The stepping of the programme in the diode matrix is effected through a logic network, the counter being set up by pulses from the multivibrator under control of a digital comparator. A second output of the comparator operates an alarm circuit when the chamber pressure falls below the programmed value.</p> |
