USE:An intermediate for valiolamine (having the alpha-glucosidase inhibitory action, and useful as medicines, food additives, etc.) expressed by formula II. PROCESS:An N-substitution product of a valienamine expressed by formula III is reacted with a halogenating agent, e.g. a halogen or hypohalogenous acid, in a solvent, e.g. water, alcohol, DMF or benzene, usually at 0-70 deg.C to give the compound expressed by formulaI(Y is halogen). |
