PURPOSE:To increase the number of asynchronous lines which can be accommodated, by providing a first-in and first-out buffer which stores a prescribed signal with a reception bit processing request for a line connection adaptor connecting the asynchronous lines. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a processing request latch 2 is inputted to a first- in and first-out buffer 6 at reception, and the content of a reception data buffer 1 and the polarity of a carrier detection signal transmitted from a carrier detection signal line 32 are stored to the buffer 6. A processing request signal SRVRQ, a reception data RD and a carrier detection signal CD are transmitted from the butter 6 to a line scanning mechanism CS. When the CS turns a transmission indication 38 and a transmission register clock 40 on at transmission, a transmission indicating latch 5 is set and a transmission data 39 is set to a buffer 4 and the data is transmitted on line via a transmission data buffer corresponding to the line. The buffer 6 is reset through the setting of the latch 5 and output signals RD, CD of the latch 2 are transmitted directly to the CS. |
