The machine wraps items in a strip (1) of paper coated with paste, onto which the items are delivered by a metering unit (2) between paper-unwinding and coiling mechanisms. A loudspeaker (5) facing upwards is mounted in a funnel (4), and has a diaphragm (6) stretched over it to receive the items (3). A cowl (7) is provided over the funnal. - The intervening space (8) contains rotary transport arms connected by valves (13) to a blower (12). The loudspeaker is so operated that the items float above the diaphragm and are drawn in by the arms for delivery onto the strip. The arms (9) are tubular, while the valves control both suction and pressure.(1) |
