PURPOSE:To enable to rapidly and effectively detect the internal defect of a starting compensator by switching the input units of ratio differential relays in response to the tap change of the compensator. CONSTITUTION:The secondary side of a current transformer 5 is connected to the C2 terminal of a ratio differential relay 3 by the contact 10 of an input switching relay at the first tap stage selecting time of a starting compensator 1 (a breaker 8A is ON and 8B is OFF). Then, it is connected to the C3 terminal by the contact 10 of the relay at the second tap stage selecting time (the breaker 8B is ON and 8A is OFF). The secondary side of the current transformer 4 is connected to the C1 terminal of a ratio relay 3, thereby detecting the internal defect of the compensator 1. After the start of a motor 2 is completed, the operation of the relay 3 is reset by an external control signal 17 simultaneously when the breaker 7 is turned OFF. |
