PURPOSE:To enable transmission of great power and to improve the durability of a V-belt by stacking and sticking together several thin plate tensile members such as a steel plate between elastic bodies same so as to form the V-belt. CONSTITUTION:A V-belt comprises elastic bodies 1 and steel plates 2, wherein several steel plates 2 are respectively stacked and stuck together between the elastic bodies 1 at suitable intervals. The steel plate 2 is made thinner to facilitate bending at the time of wrapping round a V-pulley, and the width of the plate is set in such a manner that the end surface thereof is aligned with the side 3. Holes bored through the steel plate 2 are filled up with the elastic body 1 at the time of polymerization, so that relative slipping between the plate and the elastic body is prevented to transmit power transmitted from a V-pulley to the elastic body 1 to the steel plate 2. |
