PURPOSE:To obtain a recorded image of high quality with simple structure by transferring a magnetic fluid image which is formed on a base body to a transfer medium by dipping it in a magnetic fluid, and removing an excessive magnetic fluid remaining on the surface of the base body. CONSTITUTION:Some part of the base body 3 having a ferromagnetic layer laminated on a conductive base is dipped in the magnetic fluid 2 of a colloidal solution and rotated to transfer the magnetic fluid image on the base body 3 to a transfer medium 7 with the Coulomb force of a transfer charger 8. This method is not a transfer method by a press-contacting roller, so neither the staining of the transfer medium not incomplete transfer of an image due to a pressure column is caused. The residual charge on the surface of the base body 3 is erased completely by an destaticizing charger 12, so the image is not stained with the magnetic fluid 2 sticking to a no-image part, and an excessive magnetic fluid 2 on the base body 3 is removed by a corona charger 13 to obtain a proper fluid thickness, so smooth transfer is performed. |
