PURPOSE:To obtain a monochromatic image of a desired color through easy operation by using the device with simple structure and reuse developers by colors by arranging plural developing devices equipped with a cleaning means, and selecting a developer instead of selecting the color of a developer and recovering an untransferred developer to its original developing device. CONSTITUTION:A corona discharger 13 for electrostatic charging and transfer operates to charge electrostatically the peripheral surface of a photosensitive drum 2 uniformly to a specific polarity, an original platen 3 moves to left, and an image of an original 4 on the original platen is image-formed on the peripheral surface of the drum 2 through an exposure lamp 6 and a convergent optical transmitter array 5 to form an electrostatic latent image corresponding to the original image. Once the peripheral surface which is destaticized reaches the arrangement position of a developing device 9, a developing roller 9a which rolls leaves the peripheral surface and the front edge of a cleaning blade 9c is brought into contact instead. Consequently, a developer of red which is destaticized is scraped off the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 2 into the developing device 9 which contains a developer of red and thus recovered for reuse. |
