The sight consists of a cylindrical outer tube with an internal, slightly-conical inner tube. At one end of the latter is a cylindrical widened formation in which an insert is placed. A concave-convex semi-reflecting lens is held in location against the insert by a lock ring. On the outer tube a housing is fixed by threads. In a slot in the inner tube a LEB is fixed for projection of a light beam to the lens centre. The light is reflected backwards towards an ocular in the outer tube, and when a person looks into it an illuminated dot is seen in the field of vision through the sight. This dot constitutes the aim, and the LED receives current from an electrical circuit in the housing accommodating a battery. |
