PURPOSE:To secure the flatness of a beltlike photosensitive body by arranging a guide member which has a curved surface at an optical write position so that it presses the reverse surface of the beltlike photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The beltlike photosensitive body 1 runs through the rotation of a driving roller 2 at a constant speed as shown by an arrow and the surface of this beltlike photosensitive body 1 is charged electrostatically and uniformly by an electrostatic charger 4. Then, image information is converted into binary- coded light information and light L is scanned on the surface of the beltlike photosensitive body 1 at an optical write position. Consequently, an electrostatic latent image is formed on the surface of the photosensitive body 1. The surface of the beltlike photosensitive body 1 is given finite curvature by the roller type guide member 12, so the beltlike photosensitive body 1 increases in rigidity at this position in a photoscanning direction. Consequently, the oscillation, waving, etc., of the beltlike photosensitive body 1 are hardly caused at the optical write position, the flatness is secured, and an image is prevented from being out of focus and distorted owing to the oscillation and waving, etc., thereby forming a precise electrostatic latent image. |
