PURPOSE:To instantly recognize the relation of connection between a head and a control section at a camera control section side by providing a memory to each camera head section and sending the information of each camera head section to a corresponding camera control section. CONSTITUTION:A camera head 1 is connected to a base station unit (BSU) 2 constituting the camera control section, a remote control unit (RCU) 3 is connected to the BSU 2 and a setup control unit (SCU) 7 being a centralized control console is connected to the BSUs 2, 6. The information such as a camera number or a name of a cameraman is stored in a memory 12 in the camera head 1, the memory 12 is rewritable and stores a storage data even at the interruption of power supply. The information in the memory 12 is sent to a CPU circuit 17 of the BSU 2, added to other information as character information on a video monitor 19 via a switching circuit 18, the result is sent to the display section 21 of the RCU 3 and displayed on the display section 22 of the SCU 7.
