PURPOSE:To shorten the recording time of a dual mode system by switching a recording processing speed to a high speed operation in accordance with the end of the second mode, in a device having the first mode for executing image recording by bringing an original to an exposure operation by a main recording optical system, and the second mode for executing image recording by an auxiliary recording optical system. CONSTITUTION:An image recorder is constituted of a main recording optical system (a) for executing image recording by bringing an original to an exposure operation, an auxiliary recording optical system (b) for executing prescribed image recording, and a control means (c) for switching a recording processing speed to a high speed operation, when the second recording mode executed by the optical system (b) is ended. In such a constitution, a heater in a fixing device is conducted electrically by turning on a power source switch and a user waits until a fixing roller becomes a fixable temperature, and when it reaches a prescribed temperature, a main motor is conducted electrically for a prescribed time, and by driving a photosensitive drum and the fixing device, the roller in the fixing device is set to a uniform temperature. Thereafter, the motor is stopped, and when a copy command from an operating part is inputted, a copy operation is executed, and when the second mode is ended, the motor is switched to a high speed. |
