In a magnetic storage disk comprising a plurality of rotatably drivable storage disks arranged concentrically one above the other and a plurality of read-write heads which are assigned to the disks or to one disk side, are arranged at the front end of a carrying arm and can be positioned by means of an electrically controlled positioning device over one particular track of the radially successive tracks of the storage disks, to achieve maximum possible storage capacity with low average access time and a reasonable technical production effort it is provided that each disk side is assigned two read-write heads (5a, 5b), of which one can be positioned over a radially inner storage disk region and the other can be positioned over a radially outer storage disk region, the drive of the carrying arms (6a, 6b) of the two read-write heads (5a, 5b) being coupled in such a way that the latter move together at the same angular speed but in opposite radial directions. In particular, it is provided that the carrying arms (6a, 6b) are arranged in a scissor-like manner and are mechanically coupled. <IMAGE>
