The invention concerns a wishbone boom for sailboards that is continuously adjustable in length by telescoping, and consists of two spars bent outwards and several slide-in tubes connected by a tubular aft fitting. Fixing at a specific length, i.e. sail size, of the boom is done by a cam locking system which clamps the slide-in tubes and the outer tube or spars non-positively, by turning the slide-in tubes and the handle permanently mounted to them. The outer tubes are sealed against penetration of water and dirt by two rubber washers mounted on the cam system.
