摘要

PURPOSE:To advantageously produce an ether compound having insecticidal and acaricidal activity, by reacting the corresponding optically active alcoholic compound as a raw material with a halogen compound corresponding thereto in the presence of a base. CONSTITUTION:An optically active alcoholic compound expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 are H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl, alkenyl or alkenyloxy or R1 and R2 together represent methylenedioxy, alkylene or ethyleneoxy (which may be substituted by alkylene or alkyl); * indicates asymmetric carbon] is reacted with a halogen compound expressed by formula II [R3 is H or F; R4 is H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, etc.; m is 1-2; Y is O, S, methylene, etc.; Z is -CH= or N; X is Cl or Br] in the presence of a base to afford the aimed optically active ether compound expressed by formula III.
