PURPOSE:To describe the three-dimensional shape or the size, etc., of three- dimensional picture data objectively as physical quantity by bestowing an index upon the three-dimensional picture data by using three-dimensional shape expression by a function. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that a glass is chosen as a three-dimensional structure. In a collating device 12, the fundamental shape of a superquadratic function is called out from a superquadratic function converting device 13 through a line (e), and the three-dimensional data of the glass and the superquadratic function are matched with each other. Then, a parameter related to the shape description of the superquadratic function at the point of time when the shape of the superquadratic function is decided to become the same as the approximate shape of the glass is extracted. A ink is formed through the line (f) between the three-dimensional picture data inputted to a three- dimensional picture data storing part 15 through the line (a) and the index stored in an index storing part 16, and they are stored as the three-dimensional picture data to which the index is given in a three-dimensional picture data base 14. Further, for other object of a three-dimensional picture, the same operation is repeated. |
