PURPOSE:To compensate for low order higher harmonic currents, as well as high order higher harmonic current, to suppress antiresonance of high order filter and to block flow-in of higher harmonic current from upper system into the higher order filter by providing first and second converters. CONSTITUTION:A section comprising a converter 7, a reactor 5 and a DC capacitor 8 compensates for low order higher harmonics produced in a load 4. A section comprising a higher order filter 6, a transformer 9, a capacitor 10 and a DC capacitor 11 compensates for higher order higher harmonics produced in the load 4 and a higher harmonic voltage for blocking the higher harmonic components in the power supply current is produced by the transformer 9, the converter 10 and the DC capacitor 11. Consequently, antiresonance of the higher order filter 6 and flow-in of higher harmonic current from the higher system are prevented. |
