PURPOSE:To easily perform KANA(Japanese syllabary)/KANJI(Chinese character) conversion by providing a voiced sound decision processing means which stores KANA character string in a voiceless sound reading buffet by changing a voiced sound character to a voiceless sound character when it is included. CONSTITUTION:An input KANA character display means 4 displays an inputted character string and the clause segmentation of the character string. Simultaneously, the inputted KANA character string to which clause segmentation processing is applied is sent to the voiced sound decision processing means 7, and when the voiced sound exists in the second character and after, the character is changed to the voiceless sound character, and the KANA character string with newly set reading is stored in the voiceless sound reading buffer 8. A KANA/KANJI conversion means 5 performs the KANA/KANJI conversion processing of the character string to which the segmentation processing of the clause is applied, and an obtained result is displayed on a conversion result display means 6, however, when no conversion to the character desired by an input person is performed, the KANA/KANJI conversion processing is performed on even the KANA character string in the voiceless sound reading buffer 8 by the KANA/KANJI conversion means 5, and a result is displayed on the conversion result display means 6 as the candidate of the conversion result. |
