A menu display method of a terminal and a terminal using the method are provided to offer a 3D image corresponding to a menu item as supplying sub menu items displayed by being matched with corresponding parts of the 3D image, thereby offering visual amusement for menu searching to a user. An input unit(110) selects a menu item. A display unit(140) displays a 3D image corresponding to the selected menu item. A controller(160) controls the display unit, so that the display unit displays at least one sub menu item which constitutes the selected menu item by matching the sub menu items with corresponding parts of the 3D image. The controller rotates the 3D image according to at least one of drag distance, drag speed, and drag directions of a pointer for a touch screen(142).
