Disclosed are a device and a method for securing an object (2), particularly a pipe, which has an external thread (3) and can be screwed into a sleeve-type element (1) that has a complementary internal thread (6), against being unscrewed. According to the invention, the object (2) that is to be screwed into the sleeve-type element (1) comprises at least one depression or profiled section at the forward end thereof which faces the sleeve-type element. Said depression or profiled section has a shape that deviates from the thread (3) and especially extends parallel to the longitudinal axis (12) of the object (2). The depression cooperates with at least one element that has a complementary elevation or profiled section (9) and is freely rotatable within the sleeve-type element (1) when the object is screwed in. The freely rotatable element (8) adjoins the subarea (7) of the sleeve-type element (1) that is provided with the internal thread (6) or an additional element which rests inside or on the subarea (7) that is provided with the internal thread (6). The freely rotatable element (8) and the adjoining subarea (7) of the sleeve-type element (1) or the additional element have one respective stop face (13, 15, 14, 16) which cooperate with one another when the object (2) is rotated in the unscrewing direction and prevent the object (2) from being further unscrewed by having the at least one complementary elevation and depression (9) engage with each other in order to reliably secure the object against being unscrewed. |
