PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that an assisting person is required for accurately measuring distance or the number of steps when a person to be measured swims or runs and that only ambiguous measurement can be done when the person to be measured performs the measurement by himself or herself. SOLUTION: In order for the person to be measures himself or herself solely to be able to measure the number of steps or the distance accurately, by fastening a pressure sensitive detection part on the palm, the sole, etc. of the person to be measured, a return number signal is obtained from the pressure of a swimmer's touching walls in a swimming pool, and a step number signal is obtained and counted from the pressure of a foot's contacting the ground on a field.
