<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely completing operation for a non-volatile storage element even when power supply is interrupted due to power cut or user's operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a developing roller 400 which comprises a rotating roller part 430, a magnet part 431 provided on the inner periphery of the roller part 430, a shaft center part 410 that does not rotate, and a coil part 411 provided on the outer periphery of the shaft center part 410; a secondary cell in which electromotive force generated in the coil part 411 of the developing roller 400 is accumulated; the non-volatile storage element; and a memory writing circuit which performs writing in the non-volatile storage element.
