<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader/writer for storage medium capable of notifying a type of cybermoney service used in performing settlement processing of cybermoney. <P>SOLUTION: The user can be notified of the kind of cybermoney service used in the settlement processing of cybermoney, since this reader/writer is equipped with a controller 160 which controls logo data of the cybermoney service to be displayed on a display part 130, if the kind of the cybermoney service to be used for settlement processing of cybermoney is detected.
