<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of diagnosing the presence of abnormality more precisely with respect to warming control of a catalyst device. <P>SOLUTION: This control device executes warming control for promoting warming of a catalyst device by increasing the idle speed of the internal combustion engine than usual. It obtains an accumulated intake-air volume TGA for a preset prescribed period during idle operation while the warming control is executed. It judges the presence of abnormality on condition that this cumulative intake-air volume TGA is under a cumulative intake-air volume judgment value A, and diagnoses the presence of abnormality of the warming control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
